Collision explores the tension between physical and digital identities. The central notion is our bodies are becoming increasingly obsolete and redundant. These works explore this as a metaphor of the collision - a forceful impact with ramifications. In this series, the body is viewed as fallible, finite, limited and haphazard, unable to meet the demands or exponential complexity of a machinic and interconnected future. This series was created as part of a collaborative exhibition with Johan Marais-Piper.
